Art Appreciation Circle

September: Josie Robertson will speak about the 20th Century British artist Henry Moore and his 'Shelter Drawings' dating from World War II.

October: Wendy Laver will present 'The Australian Artists at Carrick Hill and Their Stories'.

November: Peter Roberts (formerly of Moghul Antiques) will conduct a roundtable discussion on Japanese porcelain. TBC

October: Isle of the Gods: The Art of Bali.  This tour is part of our interest in the OzAsia Festival.

Opera and Music Appreciation Circle

September: Sandy Francas wil present 'Revisiting Wagner's Ring Cycle', focusing on Elke Neidhardt's 2004 Adelaide production.

October: 'Two letters, two rejections'. Dramatic scenes from Met Opera production of Tchaikovsky"s 'Eugene Onegin'. Prepared by Joan Butler.

November : Circle cancelled due to NMAFC Melbourne Cup Luncheon

 

Science and International Affairs Circle

September 6: The History and Future of Plastics. A presentation and informed discussion facilitated by Jan Lanser.

October 4: "Stroke",  a presentation by Margaret Gibbings from The Stroke Foundation.  This session will be chaired by Dianne Campbell.

November 1: The Impact of Tourism. A presentation and discussion facilitated by Karen Adams.
